Susan's #LifeAtPetSmart - From Managing Stores to Managing Execution of Store Ops

Susan works as Execution Manager, Store Operations at PetSmart and has spent 20+ years within the company. Two decades of #LifeAtPetSmart = a whole lot of fun to look back on. Check out some of Susan's memories below. 😊

Check out Susan as a Store Leader in 2002 and 2003! She says... "My favorite part was working on the weekends for two reasons. First, those were the busiest days when “new” pet parents would come in with their brand new puppies, I loved showing them what they needed to start their puppy off right! The second was having 2-3 adoption groups fill the sales floor with adoptable kittens and puppies and again seeing the joy and journey of a new pet parent after adoption."

Susan helped support a team of project managers for the opening of 500 stores during her 8 years as Manager of New Store Openings/Training! She says, "The best part was developing my team to be the BEST at having high standards and driving efficiencies!"

Teamwork makes the dream work! From her store teams to her team now at the Home Office, Susan says, "#LifeAtPetSmart has always been about the amazing people you meet along the way. The Leaders and teams I have worked with have always supported me in my development as a leader and now as an individual contributor. I feel my contributions are valued. I always strive to put our store teams first and by doing so, you’re sure to make the right decisions. Working with teams that have the same values allows you to make a positive impact on our store teams!
