District Academy Trainer, Alonzo celebrates 13 years with PetSmart!

We're proud to be the place where dedicated pet-lovers can grow their career. Our salon team members receive extensive training and are able to choose from multiple paths to grow their career with us. We're excited to share a bit about District Academy Trainer, Alonzo, and his journey with PetSmart grooming.

"13 years ago I needed a part time job while I went to school. A typical struggling college student needing extra cash. What I didn’t know is that this job would give me more than I needed.

I grew from a cashier, to a bather, to a Professional Petstylist, to a Salon Leader, and now a District Academy Trainer. I’m proud to spearhead the certification process for our bathers to become a skillful stylist. I am able to teach the very job that saw me through college and allowed me to sustain a lifestyle while living in the most expensive part of California, Silicon Valley.
